Meg Abbott

Meg is a London based artist specialising in minimal line drawings of friends, strangers and statues. She studied history of Art at Leeds University and is also self-taught, looking to the reductive art of Picasso, Giacometti and Matisse for constant inspiration, as well as the personal, female-driven sketches of Jenny Saville and Tracey Emin.

Meg settled on line drawing as her medium for its clean simplicity and continues to be amazed by how the smallest details can create personality in a face, or movement in a body.
